MDS Intelligence Launches Korea's First 'Design Data-Linked AI' Feature for RapidAUTO Pro

MDS Intelligence (Co-CEOs Chang-kun Chi and Jung-seung Lee), a core subsidiary of AI embedded solution specialist MDS Tech (086960), announced the official launch of a new feature integrating generative AI technology into its flagship solution, ‘RapidAUTO Pro.’ The core of this update is the implementation of "Design Data-Linked AI," which moves away from the conventional generative AI approach prone to "hallucinations" (generating false information). Instead, it generates outputs based exclusively on actual engineering data.

As the automotive industry rapidly shifts toward Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV), the complexity of software code and design per vehicle is increasing exponentially. To meet global quality and safety standards such as A-SPICE and ISO 26262, engineers are often forced to manually document thousands of pages of detailed design specifications. This has led to a persistent inefficiency where highly skilled engineers spend more time on tedious documentation than on critical logic design.

In response to these market trends, RapidAUTO Pro AI adopts a fundamentally different approach. While general-purpose generative AI creates plausible answers based on uncertain internet data, RapidAUTO Pro AI generates results by directly referencing the actual design data stored within the solution.

The solution’s automatic diagram interpretation feature leverages AUTOSAR models, diagrams, and interface data accumulated through collaboration with various clients. By automatically generating documents based on this data, it fundamentally eliminates the possibility of errors caused by AI hallucinations, ensuring the high reliability of the documentation.

Specifically, the AI analyzes nine types of diagrams generated during the SWE.2 (Software Architecture Design) and SWE.3 (Software Detailed Design) stages to automatically write descriptions for the respective logic. This dramatically reduces the burden of repetitive, time-consuming documentation. Engineers no longer need to explain complex designs step-by-step; the AI automatically generates documents that accurately reflect the design intent.

Furthermore, it maintains consistent document quality by adhering to corporate standard guidelines and templates. This allows engineers to complete documentation tasks simply by reviewing and approving the AI-generated drafts, enabling them to focus on core design and development.

RapidAUTO Pro’s AI features are ideal for OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers requiring high precision, as well as Quality Assurance (QA) organizations. It is expected to be an essential solution for domestic and international engineers who need strict documentation evidence for collaboration with global companies.

An official from Hyundai Motor Company’s Future Strategy Division, currently using the beta version of RapidAUTO Pro AI, stated, "General generative AI often mixed in sentences with unclear sources, leading to high verification costs. However, RapidAUTO Pro AI is linked to actual design data to describe software structures, significantly reducing the review burden. As the 'description writing' is now integrated into the automated diagram and output generation flow, the documentation lead time has been remarkably shortened."

Meanwhile, MDS Intelligence will participate in ‘JAPAN AUTOMOTIVE WORLD 2026,’ held at Tokyo Big Sight from January 21 to 23, 2026. The company plans to showcase RapidAUTO Pro to global customers through live demonstrations.
